Better cooperation

In order to use the knowledge of employees more effectively, the Federal Ministry of Finance introduced  in 2015 a collaboration platform. With regard to the "workplace of the future", the goal is that the solution supports the staff working in projects  and to facilitate a more direct communication and collaboration. Around 11,200 employees  of the Ministry can thus experience not only a more effective transfer of knowledge and easier identification of experts, but can also benefit from an increasing collaboration and networking across organizational boundaries, as it is known from social media. The BRZ participated in the technical development of this innovative project.

Smart use of data

Winner in the category "Management and E-Government" is the solution "Applicationless family allowance“. Through this so-called "no-stop-shop" parents in Austria will receive the family allowance automatically after the birth of a child without filling out a form. For the jury  this is a "clear signal for smart use of data".

The BRZ implemented this innovative solution on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Federal Ministry of Family and Youth within eight months. For this project, it was the fourth price within a few days. Last week it received the "Austrian price of public administration" of the Federal Chancellery in three categories. Last year the project „Applicationless family allowance“ has been awarded as "Best eGovernment project"  at an eGovernment competition in Berlin.
